ABSTRACT:
The method of the invention provides for improvement of a plant growth factor by applying an ethylene inhibitor plant growth regulator to a plant, such as cotton or soybean, at a low rate. Specific plant growth regulators include compounds covered by the general formula: ##STR1## where R1 and R2 independently of one another are C1-C6-alkyl, n is 2 or 3 and R3 is hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl. Specific compounds employed by the acid-2-(hexyloxy)-2-oxoethyl ester, {{cyclohexylidene)-amino!oxy}-acetic acid and aminooxyacetic acid.
