ABSTRACT:
The handrail guide is suitable for use on very thin escalator balustrades, such as are typically made of glass or the like. The handrail-contacting-track surface is formed from a low friction plastic material. The plastic track member is affixed to a mount base which clips onto the balustrade, and the track is reinforced by a recessed steel strip plate fastened directly to the base through the track.
