ABSTRACT:
A slide bearing surface element is disclosed which can be used in prosthetic joints or mechanical bearing devices. The element has a composite coating made of a matrix of epoxy resin with particles of Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 dispersed therein. Cu or stainless steel particles are included to increase thermal conductivity.
