ABSTRACT:
An amine oxide having the formula: ##STR1## wherein the R.sub.1 groups are independently selected from C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or alkoxy groups and R.sub.2 is a branched chain C.sub.11 -C.sub.16 alkyl group; a detersive composition containing such amine oxide with amphoteric surfactants and/or alkalizing agent; and the use of said composition for cleaning hard surfaces.
