ABSTRACT:
A pediculicidal composition is provided which is effective against both adult lice and lice eggs and additionally exhibits a strong repellent effect on adult lice. The active ingredient is piperonal which is generally used in solution at a concentration of at least 3%. An additional component of the composition is a film-forming material which is capable of holding the piperonal in contact with the host for at least two hours.
