ABSTRACT:
A lottery device has a turntable12with a plurality of ball pockets13and balls2each to be dropped onto the turntable12, rolls on the turntable12and eventually falls into one of the ball pockets13to determine a winner ball pocket13. The lottery device includes sets of sensors24and25combined with the ball pockets13, respectively, to detect the ball that has fallen into the corresponding ball pocket13, light-emitting rings23combined with the ball pockets13, respectively, a ball identifying mechanism41for identifying the balls by type, and a computer100including a storage unit storing control programs and controlling lottery operations according to the control programs. The computer100executes a control procedure including the steps of: determining a color, indicating the type of the ball identified by the ball identifying mechanism41, in which the light-emitting ring23emits light according to a control program, receiving detection signals provided by the sensors24and25combined with the ball pocket13into which the ball2has fallen, and causing the light-emitting ring23combined with the ball pocket13into which the ball has fallen to emit light in the predetermined color. The lottery device engrosses the players by effectively making the light-emitting rings23emit light according to the state of the lottery game to appeal the functions of the ball pockets13to the players.
