ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a UV light absorber comprising an azomethine compound represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom, or a straight- or branched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a straight- or branched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms or an alkoxycarbonyl group having 2 to 5 carbon atoms as an active ingredient.
