A lockup device5includes a damper mechanism7,a plate56,a plate57,a piston51,and a plate59.The damper mechanism7has a plate52rotating together with the turbine10,and plates53and54rotatable with respect to the plate52.The plate56is unrotatable and axially movable with respect to the plates53and54.The plate57is unrotatable and axially movable with respect to the front cover2,and is arranged on the turbine side of the plate52.The piston51is arranged on the turbine side of the plate56,and is elastically and unrotatably coupled in an axial direction to the plates53and54through the plate59.
