ABSTRACT:
Improved locking wrenches are provided with adjustment screws having a head portion which defines at least one opening registerable with an aperture defined in an extension member rearwardly extending from the lower handle of the wrench. In this manner, a restraining element may be placed through the registered opening/aperture to positionally restrain (immobilize) the upper and lower wrench handles relative to one another. The head of the adjustment screw and/or the extension member according to the present invention may be embodied in a number of alternative arrangements to provide the necessary cooperative relationship as between the opening and aperture respectively defined thereby.
