ABSTRACT:
A locking arm27is supported by a fulcrum31attached to a body28and a pair of coupling portions33, 34. When an operation portion30is pressed down, an engaging portion29located between the fulcrum31and the coupling portions33, 34is shifted vertically to a direction of coupling a connector10with a complementary connector38. The coupling portions33, 34are made in parallel to the direction of coupling the connector10with the complementary connector38. The pair of coupling portions33and34are formed as a pair of legs. A sliding groove35is formed between the pair of legs33and34so as to correspond to an engaging portion44of the complementary connector38. The engaging portion44will be slid into the sliding groove35. In such a configuration, the locking mechanism can remove backlash between a female connector and a male connector to provide high coupling accuracy.
