ABSTRACT:
A load bearing structure with a base and an array of load bearing members, each load bearing member having the general form of a cantilevered beam and made of a resilient material, and having a tip, generally front and back faces, and a bottom, the bottom for interengaging the load bearing member and the load bearing structure. The beam generally increases in thickness from tip to bottom, and both faces are generally planar. The plane of the face and of the back join at an angle .beta., and the plane of the back is disposed to the plane of the bottom at an angle .alpha..
