ABSTRACT:
A liquid separating agent consisting essentially of a copolymer of an .alpha.-olefin having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms and a maleic acid diester with a copolymer composition (molar ratio) such that the maleic acid diester is more than 1.4 mols relative to 1 mol of the .alpha.-olefin, said copolymer having a molecular weight within a range of from 1,000 to 30,000.
