ABSTRACT:
A liquid crystal visual display with a liquid crystal layer between two plates and resistive lines between one of the plates and the liquid crystal layer for heating the crystal to produce a display. The thermal diffusivity of the plate supporting the lines is below a value making possible viewing with the naked eye, for example 2.times.10.sup.-2 cm.sup.2 /s.
