ABSTRACT:
A liquid crystal display panel having an upsized display area of the present invention includes source wirings composed of a plurality of wiring sections, respective parts of which are connected to each other. At least one of the plurality of wiring sections is connected to a pixel electrode via an active element. The source wirings are arranged such that the plurality of wiring sections can be enclosed within a light shielding region. The described liquid crystal display panel suppresses an occurrence of a wiring disconnection inferior accompanying when upsizing the display area and improving a definition, and thus can be manufactured at a higher yield. It is preferable that the source wirings are arranged in a form of a ladder and are formed by laminating a plurality of electrically conductive films. It is also preferable that in the crossover where the gate wirings cross each other, at least a width of either one of the wirings is reduced. The described liquid crystal panel enables a quality display while suppressing an occurrence of a wiring disconnection.
