ABSTRACT:
A liquid crystal display device has a pair substrates disposed in opposition to one another with a liquid crystal interposed therebetween, active elements formed on one of the pair of substrates, an organic film layer formed to cover the active elements, a light-shielding film formed on another of the pair of substrates together. In the liquid crystal display device, the sealing material has an injecting port formed therein and sealed with an end-sealing material and spaced apart, and the light-shielding layer and the organic film layer are formed to be extended outward from the sealing material, and the organic film layer is at least partly removed at the injecting port.
