ABSTRACT:
A novel liquid crystal composition is disclosed. The composition comprises at least one liquid crystal and at least one compound represented by a formula (1), wherein R1and R2respectively represent an optionally substituted aryl group and optionally substituted heteroaryl group; R7and R8respectively represent an optionally substituted aryl group; R3, R4, R5and R6respectively represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent. A novel liquid crystal device comprising a pair of substrates and the composition disposed between them is also disclosed
