ABSTRACT:
A liquid crystal composition having a nematic phase and including a compound represented by Formula (1), a compound represented by Formulas (2-1) and (2-2), and a compound represented by Formulas (3-1), (3-2) and (3-3), and a liquid crystal display device including the composition:wherein, for example, R1is alkenyl having approximately 2 to approximately 12 carbons; R2, R3, R4, R5and R6are alkyl having approximately 1 to approximately 12 carbons; Y1and Y2are fluorine; X1and X5are hydrogen; and X2, X3and X4are hydrogen or fluorine, provided that at least one of X2, X3and X4is fluorine.
