A copolymer of from in the range of from about 55 to about 70 weight percent lactide and from in the range of from about 45 to about 30 mole percent .epsilon.-caprolactone suitable for use in biomedical applications such as drug delivery, coatings for surgical sutures and needles, and lubricants for medical devices.
