An intermediate chamber7is provided in a liquid storage chamber6of a liquid container1, for separating the liquid storage chamber6from a chamber5for accommodating a negative pressure generating member. The intermediate chamber7communicates with both of the liquid storage chamber6and the chamber5for accommodating the negative pressure generating member, and further communicates with the liquid storage chamber6via a plurality of small openings18provided upward from the bottom thereof.
