ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a liquid composition containing a cationic fluorocarbon surfactant having a general formula [I] or [II] and a polymer compound in a solvent, and a liquid composition containing a cationic fluorocarbon surfactant having a general formula [III] and a polymer compound in a solvent: ##STR1## wherein Rf represents a fluorocarbon group in which at least some of the hydrogen atoms in an alkyl group having 4 to 12 carbon atoms are substituted by fluorine atoms, each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, and R.sub.5 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, HX represents a hydrohalogenic acid, and X.crclbar. represents a halogen anion; ##STR2## wherein n represents an integer from 4 to 12, and X.crclbar. represents a halogen anion.
The present invention further provides an ink set, in which the above liquid composition is combined with one or more inks, a method of forming an image and apparatus for forming the image by applying the ink set and liquid composition.
