ABSTRACT:
A liquid composition comprising an emulsion of a vinyl plastic, an alkali acetate, an aluminum compound such as the fluoride, water glass, an alkali sulfate and an alkali thiosulfate is useful as a fire retarding agent for treating waste. Perchloric acid or alum may be added to the composition or may replace the alkali sulfate and alkali thiosulfate. If desired, kaolin and/or crushed pumice slag may also be added.
