A device for cleaning the surface of the tongue comprising an elongated handle having a brushhead attached to one end thereof which extends from the brush head at an angle of at least 15.degree.. The brush head has a flat surface with a plurality of bristle cells extending therefrom at least 4-6 mm with the opposite side of the brush head being rounded.
