ABSTRACT:
Linear dampers are capable of offering an expected damping force without the use of oil or gas. A casing body10has a cylindrical portion14and a damping groove15continuing with each other and axially extending. The side face of the damping groove15are tapering faces17between which the space gradually opens up toward the opening of the damping groove15. A slider18constituted of a first moving member19and a second moving member20is inserted into the casing10. When the slider18is inserted into the casing10, an inclined face28of the second moving member20and an inclined face24of the first moving member19are in contact with each other and tapering faces29of the second moving member20and the tapering faces17are in contact with each other.
