ABSTRACT:
A linear bearing is constructed of a shaft having a cylindrical outer wall, an outer race having a cylindrical inner peripheral wall, a cylindrical retainer inserted for axial displacement within a toroidal space between the outer wall and the inner wall, and plural balls retained for rotation in the retainer and in contact with the outer wall and the inner wall. The balls are provided more densely at axially opposite end portions of the retainer.
