ABSTRACT:
Lighting string having two electrical wires, a number of mounting blocks spaced from each other along the electrical wires for accommodating respective parts of the electrical wires, and in each mounting block two terminal plates for electrically contacting the electrical wires and for accommodating a tubular electric lamp. The lighting string may be made by first placing the mounting blocks over the electrical wires and then placing the terminal plates in the mounting blocks, as result of which contact with the electrical wires is effected. Also the mounting blocks may be formed around the terminal plates. Then the lighting string is produced by proceeding on an electrical cable, in which the electrical wires are incorporated and providing the mounting blocks having integrated terminal plates on the electrical cable. The lighting string may be used in lighting devices and in display devices, such as advertising letter boxes.
