ABSTRACT:
Light-sensitive compounds are described which have the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 denote H or alkyl, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 denote H or 4,6-bis-trichloromethyl-s-triazin-2-yl, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 denote H or halogen, alkyl, alkenyl or alkoxy, and Ar denotes a mononuclear to trinuclear aromatic group.
These compounds are suitable as photoinitiators for free-radical polymerization or as photolytic acid donors for acid-cleavable compounds, and for cross-linking and color formation reactions. They are distinguished by a high sensitivity in various spectral ranges.
