ABSTRACT:
A silver halide emulsion for use in a radiographic element,--comprising at least one silver halide emulsion layer coated on one side or on both sides of a transparent support--, characterized by the fact that it contains silver halide cubic grains having J-band spectral sensitizing dyes adsorbed on the surface thereof in a quantity substantially higher than that amount which substantially optimally sensitizes said grains, exhibits a reduced residual stain and an improved image quality.
