ABSTRACT:
A light-sensitive silver halide emulsion is disclosed, which comprises cores composed of silver halide grains and shells covering the cores. The cores consist essentially of silver halide containing silver iodide, and the shells consist essentially of silver bromide, silver chloride or silver chlorobromide excluding silver iodide. The shells have a thickness of from 0.01 to 0.1.mu.. This light-sensitive silver halide emulsion has high sensitivity and superior covering power.
