ABSTRACT:
A light gauge steel building wherein a plurality of roof trusses are supported by wall studs located in lower track sections. The roof trusses include a plurality of tension and compression members which overlap the truss top and bottom chords so that extra reinforcing plates are unnecessary. Single or double thickness wall siding may be provided as structurally required, and the siding is fastened to horizontal girts which are mounted on, and span, the vertical wall studs. Provision is also made for both load bearing and non-load bearing doorway openings. Light gauge steel members are used throughout the building system to reduce overall weight, and yet maintain structural integrity.
