ABSTRACT:
A light emitting array is described and includes first, second and third light emitting elements, and first and second current sources. The first light emitting element includes first and second terminals, and is characterized by a first operating voltage Vop1at or above which it is substantially operable to emit light. The second light emitting device includes a first terminal, and a second terminal coupled to the second terminal of the first light emitting element, the second light emitting element characterized by a second operating voltage Vop2at or above which the second light emitting element is substantially operable to emit light. The third light emitting element includes a first terminal coupled to the first terminal of the first light emitting element, and a second terminal, the third lighting emitting element characterized by a third operating voltage Vop3at or above which it is substantially operable to emit light. The first current source is coupled between first terminal of the second light emitting element and the first terminal of the second light emitting element, and the second current source is coupled between the second terminal of the first light emitting element and the second terminal of the third light emitting element.
