A novel leveling agent for self polishing dry-bright floor polishes having the following general structure is described: ##STR1## where R is either a non-linear aliphatic hydrocarbon or mixture of hydrocarbons containing 8 to 15 carbon atoms or an alkylbenzene moiety containing 8 to 12 carbon atoms in the alkyl chain
