ABSTRACT:
A novel N-methoxy-2-pyridone designated leporin A has been isolated from the sclerotia of the fungus, Aspergillus leporis. Leporin A is characterized by the structural formula ##STR1## and is effective for controlling Lepidopteran insect pests.
