ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a lens barrel capable of placing at least a part of multiple lens groups in a retraction status in which the part of the multiple lens groups are accommodated in the lens barrel, and at least a part of the multiple lens groups in a photographing status in which the part of the multiple lens groups are moved closer to an object. The distance between a first lens group (11) located closest to the object and a second lens group (12) located second closest to the object changes in the optical axis direction. A spring mechanism (30) having a compression spring function and a torsion coil spring function in combination is arranged between the first lens group (11) and the second lens group (12). This spring mechanism biases (30) at least the second lens group (12) in the optical axis direction and in a rotational direction in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis.
