ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to the use of a live mutantLeishmaniain the preparation of a vaccine and to vaccine formulations for use in immunizing mammals, such as dogs and/or humans. The mutantLeishmaniacomprises at least one defective cysteine proteinase gene.
