The present invention provides an LED device1as a light source having an excellent color reproducibility and high luminance. The LED device1comprises: a base2having a recess4with the upper surface opened, the inner wall surface of the recess4constituting a reflection surface4a; a LED chip5disposed on the inner bottom of the recess4; a resin10filled in the recess4, the resin10including phosphors7a, 7b, 7cwhich absorb a part of light emitted from the LED chip to convert the wavelength thereof and emit light; and a phosphor layer6a, 6b, 6cformed on the reflection surface4a, the phosphor layer6a, 6b, 6cincluding the phosphors7a, 7b, 7c.
