ABSTRACT:
A leak detecting dye for use in heating, ventilating, air conditioning, or refrigeration systems employing dyes such as naphthalimide, perylene, coumarin, anthracene, phenanthracene, and thioxanthane. The dye is adsorbed onto a non-absorbent carrier which is then adapted for inclusion into various components of the system such as a filter drier, or a desiccant container which may be inserted into appropriate locations within the system.
