ABSTRACT:
A lead tester assembly10is provided, for use with a circuit board12populated with a plurality of electronic components18each including at least one lead20protruding through the circuit board16. A conductive plate element32is positioned below the circuit board16and is movable between a test active position24and a test inactive position26. At least one sleeve element38is mounted to and is in electrical communication with the conductive plate element32. A movable sensor36is in electrical communication with the at least one sleeve element38when the conductive plate element32is in said test inactive position26. A non-conductive probe46, slidably positioned within the sleeve element38, is movable between a lead absent position50and a lead present position52upon engaging one of the leads20. The non-conductive probe46forces the movable sensor36out of electrical communication with the sleeve element38when in the lead present position52.
