ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to inhibiting leaching of crop treating chemicals into the ground water, aqua-system and surrounding soil of the treatment site by contacting the plant or plant site with an effective leach inhibiting, plant tolerating amount of a protein or carbohydrate derived polymer containing pendant hydroxy and secondary, tertiary or quaternized amino groups defined by the formula ##STR1## R is hydrogen or methyl; R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each selected from the group of hydrogen and C.sub.1 to C.sub.20 alkyl, with the proviso that, in the above formula A, at least one of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 or at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is other than hydrogen;
