ABSTRACT:
Layer insulation for use in high-voltage equipment such as a distribution transformer comprises substantially all inorganic material and is implemented with inorganic particles bonded together and to an intermingled array of inorganic fibers with inorganic cement to form an insulation layer reinforced by the inorganic fibers.
