ABSTRACT:
A highly concentrated detergent composition in the form of a stable, single phase gel comprising by weight (A) from about 5 to 40 parts of a sulfated, polyoxy alkylenated C.sub.10 -C.sub.22 alcohol containing from about 1 to 6 moles of combined alkylene oxide, the ratio of the number of carbon atoms in the said alcohol to the number of moles of combined alkylene oxide being from about 2:1 to 5:1, (B) from about 25 to 55 parts of alkali metal pyrophosphate and (C) from about 30 to 50 parts of solvent medium comprising water and water miscible, alcoholic solvent, the total of parts (A), (B) and (C) being 100 parts.
