ABSTRACT:
To enable the latch (5) of a latch needle to be capable of absorbing great tresses without danger of damage to the needle latch, or to the needle itself, the latch has at least one through-aperture (11, 19) or opening in the region between its pivot bore (8) and the latch spoon (9).
