ABSTRACT:
A laser dual wavelength selection system having a resonant galvanometer drive system moving an intracavity reflector as part of a gain cavity and optical grating combination. Sensor 52 provides signals to drive control 54 which in combination with preprogrammed information is used to control the resonant galvanometer actuator in such a manner that sinusoidal operation will provide two at rest positions for every cycle. Laser pulse firing at these two selected times will provide two optimized selected wavelengths per cycle. Bias tuning is used to select adjacent wavelengths in a repetitive sequence.
