A large-sized (1.68 inches) two piece solid golf ball superior in flight distance, comprising a solid core and a cover having a thickness of 2.10 to 2.30 mm. and a Shore D hardness of not less than 65, the total volume of dimples being from 330 to 365 mm.sup.3.
