ABSTRACT:
Rear ends of pushing rods40are axially connected to a support base50, which is movably engaged with guide rails60. A drive unit70is disposed to rotatably move wire belts74between wheels73and71at longitudinal front and rear ends of the guide rails60, and the support base50is connected to the wire belts74. The drive unit70is activated to guide the pushing rods40by the guide rails60so to make pushing and pulling operation of the pushing rods40. A door33which is disposed at the back wall of a static grate31in a clinker cooler30is opened to fit the pushing rods40into a seal material34on the opening to push a large lump of coating C2retained on the static grate31. The pushing rods40have a double tube structure and are cooled by injecting cooling water from supply pipes45.By configuring as described above, there is provided an advantageous apparatus for removing large lumps of coating which can remove the large lumps of coating retained in a clinker cooling section with reliability without manually working and automate the removing work, and which excels in maintenance and management.
