ABSTRACT:
A coating of boron nitride disposed on a lamp arc tube or filament tube provides an integral reflector for reflecting light and heat emitted by the light source. One particularly useful application is linear, quartz incandescent heat lamps having a boron nitride coating disposed along one side of the filament chamber.
