ABSTRACT:
A solar energy collecting unit is disclosed having an absorber for solar radiation comprising at least one hollow fiber having a heat-dissipating medium flowing therethrough. The hollow fibers used are preferably glass fibers, and preferably form the absorbing surface of the collecting unit.
