ABSTRACT:
A laminar article is provided, comprising a combination of a polyolefin, an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having a melting point at least about 5.degree. C. higher than the polyolefin, and a compatibilizer of a compatible polyolefin backbone grafted with cyclic anhydride moieties, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is present within the polyolefin as multiple, thin, substantially parallel, overlapping layers.
