Disclosed is a red pigment compound containing a pigment represented by Formula I:having a certain Hue Angle and Apparent Strength. Also disclosed is a method of making a red pigment composition. Further disclosures relate to coating compositions, ink compositions, plastic compositions, electrostatic toner compositions, powder coating compositions, paint compositions, and paper compositions containing the red pigment represented by Formula I.
