ABSTRACT:
The use of an ureide of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is lactosyl, X is selected from the group consisting of O, S or .dbd.NH, and R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, glucosyl and alkyl, as a non-protein nitrogen source in ruminant feedstuffs or feed supplements, and a process for preparing such an ureide.
