ABSTRACT:
A sharpener which has a main body portion to hold and support a sharpening stone 1. The main body is connected at one of its ends to a front guide plate and on the opposite end to a back guide plate. These two plates, in addition to guiding the direction of a knife blade during sharpening, also act to hold the stone in position. The back guide plate also acts as a finger guard and as a handle means for the sharpener.
